The story behind OEM.
OEM began as an Airbnb Superhost operation. Over time, insurance housing partners started referring displaced families to us, and their experiences changed the direction of our work.
We didn’t set out to become an insurance housing company. We became one because the families we hosted kept telling us the same thing: the system was failing them when they needed support the most.
After a loss, families often waited 3-5 days to receive housing options. In the meantime, many were placed in hotel rooms without a kitchen, enough space, or a real sense of normalcy. They needed more than a room. They needed a place to feel steady again.
One experience made our purpose even clearer.
After a flood damaged one family’s home just days before Thanksgiving, we secured a fully furnished home in time for the holiday. It gave them the chance to gather, celebrate together, and feel right at home.
Those words stayed with us:
That became the standard we hold ourselves to with every placement.
The insurance housing process can feel confusing, slow, and overwhelming. We have made it our responsibility to simplify that process, move quickly, and support each family from start to finish.
Families need stability. Partners help us get them there. OEM brings the housing, coordination, and care that make every placement possible.
